BRIAN ANDREW LEE

Brian Andrew Lee

Brian Andrew Lee is a singer songwriter. He has been performing, producing, and has been continually adding to his on going repertoire for around 30 years now. As a child of the 70's and 80's, Brian was influenced early on by a great number of artist from those era's. His love for the singer songwriter generation of the 70's, 80's and the 90's are very much alive in his present works and continues to evolve with every generation that catches his attention. Brian is no stranger to the world of audio production either. His original interest of study was in audio technical engineering as far back as the age of 11 years old. " My dad brought home a bunch of tiny little 3 to 4 inch speakers in box he had somehow acquired from a friend of his who fixed radio's and walkie-talkies.

He knew I was into taking electronic sound devices apart and studying the components that made up the circuit as I would get into serious trouble for doing so. He told me now you have some spare part speakers to play around with. That was the beginning".
Music has always come naturally for Brian. From the age of 8 years old on, he began to teach himself how to play different various instruments because he could not help himself when he saw the opportunity to learn and play one. This fascination led to his first songs written at the age of 11 and 12 whilst learning how to record himself and using the available devices he had at the time.
" I would make up my own parallel and counterpart progressions composing multi instrumental pieces using a Walkman and a stereo tape deck that had 2 external microphone inputs and bounce tapes back and forth recording and playing along with the other over and over until I had several parts individually playing along as recorded".
At 16,  Brian's mother, who is a singer as well, became very influential to him about his singing. " Being a vocalist was not on my radar growing up. None the less I had so many vocal ideas at one point that I did what I thought was necessary to accomplish the compositions I was obsessed with working on with my then, 4 track multitrack home recording equipment at that point.

None the less I had so many vocal ideas at one point that I did what I thought was necessary to accomplish the compositions I was obsessed with working on with my then, 4 track multitrack home recording equipment at that point. You only had so many takes before the tape began to suffer generation loss so it was important to get it right in as few takes as possible".
Brian has performed on many stages and with many great artist such as the group Suede getting noticed for his range and abilities to sing powerfully and in many different genre's. He toured for a brief time with Monte Montgomery and even had his first solo CD "Pennies and Dimes" released in 2007, produced by Monte and with guest performances by Monte himself. ( singer songwriter, composer of song clips and theme for Tim Allen's sit com Last Man Standing. Monte is regarded as one the worlds top 50 guitarists and has a catalogue of many albums that he has written and produced over the past 35 years.) The band Suede, from Austin Texas, toured for a short time with the comedian George Lopez as his opening band and gave him the shared experience of playing at some of America's most historical and well known venues such as Radio City Music Hall in New York City and the Nokia Theatre in LA California just to name a few. " I am grateful to everyone I've ever worked with on this 30 some odd years of a journey.  It is the art as well as the science of sound that compels me to do so."
Most recently Brian was given the opportunity to perform and has executed the privilege of singing on Tony Walsh's album due for release on iTunes in 2017.
Brian is currently working on his own self done solo album due for release in 2017 as well.
For the past 4 years, Brian has been a vocal and guitar instructor to many students and continues to do so.
He is currently producing and engineering two of his student's CD's and is performing solo acoustic singer songwriter shows around town.
He continues to move forward and welcomes each and every day to influence his next vision.
